"Ohana" means family!
We are friends raising money for the American Cancer Society. Nerds Against Cancer (or the N.A.C.) is the name we give ourselves to organize and promote fundraising events.
Our Story
I ran my first race at Walt Disney World with Team Determination in April of 2022 in honor of someone very dear to me who lost her fight with Cancer in late January, 2022. I raised $550 for that race and met some amazing people who inspired me to keep fundraising as a way to honor those still fighting Cancer as well as those who have lost their fights.

For the Wine and Dine Marathon Weekend I am fundraising in honor of my partner’s father, Norman Wadell, who passed away from a rare form of brain cancer in 1996. Norm was a gifted artist and performer and channeled those talents into his work as an art director in the TV industry and even more so into his role as a dedicated husband and father. He had an instantly likeable personality and is remembered dearly to this day by those lucky enough to know him.

My goal for November’s races is to raise $1125.00 dollars for the American Cancer Society. Twenty-Five dollars for each year that Norm was here with us. While this is my goal, it is in no way a stopping point and I hope to raise far above this amount with your help.
